Embedded YouTube videos

Some of the pages on our website contain embedded YouTube videos. The corresponding plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. Visiting a page with the YouTube plug-in creates a connection to the YouTube servers and YouTube is notified about which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your surfing behaviour with you personally. In order to prevent this, you must log out of your YouTube account before you proceed.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour.

If you have disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, such cookies will not be set when you watch YouTube videos, either. However, YouTube also stores non-personal user information in other cookies. You must block the storage of cookies in your browser if you wish to prevent this.

For more information on data privacy on YouTube, please refer to the provider’s data privacy statement at:

Social media plug-ins

Social media plug-ins from the providers listed below are used on our website. The plug-ins are indicated by the corresponding provider’s brand logo.

Under certain circumstances these plug-ins are used to send information, which may also include personal data, to the service provider for storage and further use. We have implemented a 2-click solution to prevent the accidental or unintentional collection and transmission of data to the service provider. A click on the corresponding button is required to activate a selected social media plug-in, which will then allow information to be collected and transmitted to the service provider. For our part, we do not collect any personal data about or via the use of social media plug-ins.

We have no influence on what data an activated plug-in collects and how the data is used by the service provider. It must currently be assumed that a direct connection is made to the provider’s services and that the IP address and device-related information, at the very least, are collected and used. It is also possible that service providers will attempt to store cookies on the relevant device. Please see the respective service provider’s data privacy policy for information on what concrete data will be collected and how it will be used. Please note that if you are logged into Facebook when you visit our site, Facebook will be able to identify you as a visitor to a specific page.
